RT Sean Locklear’s domestic assault trial has been moved to July 20.
Locklear was charged with assaulting his girlfriend in January. Seahawks training camp begins July 29.
  • FA Tackle #77
Giants signed OT Sean Locklear, formerly of the Redskins.
Locklear, 31 in May, made four starts in Washington last season, three at left tackle and one on the right side. Pro Football Focus graded him negatively both as a pass and run blocker. He’ll have to battle for a roster spot in camp.
  • FA Tackle #77
Coach Mike Shanahan concedes that RT Jammal Brown (groin) is unlikely to play against the Dolphins in Week 10.
Backup Sean Locklear was abused on John Beck’s blindside two weeks ago, but he’s always been better on the right side. Regardless, the Redskins’ injury-ravaged offensive line is a major concern against a suddenly surging Miami defense.
  • FA Tackle #77
Redskins RT Jammal Brown left Sunday’s game against the Niners with a groin injury.
Brown tried to gut it out, but was eventually removed for the day. Sean Locklear came on at right tackle as John Beck turned into Captain Checkdown.
  • FA Tackle #77
The Giants will start journeyman Sean Locklear at left tackle in Wednesday night’s season opener against the Cowboys.
William Beatty’s back has continued to give him trouble and he’ll be available only to play tight end in jumbo packages. We’d call it a concern for the New York passing game -- particularly facing DeMarcus Ware -- but the Giants did just fine with a below-average left tackle (David Diehl) for most of last season. Locklear outplayed Diehl in camp, and Diehl will start at right tackle.
  • NYG Tackle #66
Giants RT David Diehl has regained his starting job from Sean Locklear.
Finally over his MCL sprain, Diehl will push Locklear in jumbo-package duty. Although Eli Manning’s pass protection has been foolproof under Locklear, coaches explained to him that Diehl couldn’t lose his job to a minor injury.
  • FA Tackle #77
The Giants will start Sean Locklear at right tackle on Monday night against the Redskins.
David Diehl was listed as questionable on the injury report with a shoulder injury, but he’s still active. Diehl started on the right side the past two weeks, but he’s taking a back seat to Locklear, who started at the position from Weeks 2-9. Locklear will see a lot of Ryan Kerrigan.
  • NYG Tackle #66
Coach Tom Coughlin still isn’t saying if David Diehl will get his starting right tackle job back from Sean Locklear.
Diehl’s knee is now healthy, but it’s going to be really hard for Coughlin to break up this offensive line. Eli Manning hasn’t been sacked in the last 13 quarters and Ahmad Bradshaw has piled up 316 rushing yards on 57 carries (5.54 YPC) over the last two weeks.
  • FA Tackle #77
According to the Giants, RT Sean Locklear sustained a “significant knee sprain” during Monday’s loss to the Redskins.
If Locklear truly avoided a ligament tear, he’s lucky. The gruesome replays showed his right knee getting bent the wrong way in horrific fashion. The Giants are going to have to roll with declining veteran David Diehl at right tackle going forward.
  • FA Tackle #77
Giants RT Sean Locklear exited Monday night’s game versus the Redskins with a right knee injury.
Locklear was injured on a fourth quarter run play and had his leg roll up awkwardly underneath him. It appeared to be a blown out knee. Locklear was later carted off the field. David Diehl replaced him at right tackle.
