Kings hired Scotty Perry to be their next general manager.
Perry will make his return to Sacramento to take over for Monte McNair, who parted ways with the Kings shortly after their play-in loss to the Mavericks. Perry was hired to be the team’s vice president of basketball operations in 2017 but was hired to become the general manager of the Knicks just months later. Perry remained in that role until after the 2022-23 season. Sacramento moved quickly to find a new general manager, and Perry will now have quite a few decisions to make. Will he remove the interim tag from Doug Christie and make him the full-time head coach? Perry may not have a first-round pick in his first draft; whether the Kings retain their pick will depend on how the final two play-in games play out and then the draft lottery in May.

The Knicks will part ways with GM Scott Perry with his contract set to expire this summer, according Steve Popper of Newsday Sports.
Last time Perry’s contract was set to expire, the Knicks gave him a two year extension after they made the playoffs in 2021. This time around, they’ll let his contract end and move on to find a new man to call the shots. Perry brought in Jalen Brunson last summer, and his successor will have to try and take the Knicks to the next level.

The Knicks are reportedly signing GM Scott Perry to a contract extension.
Perry’s contract was set to expire, but with New York finally getting back to the postseason around the team and staff he assembled, this was a relatively easy decision for the Knickerbockers.
