    Patriots released C Russell Bodine.
The Patriots plan to re-sign C/GJames Ferentz in the corresponding roster move. Bodine lasted only a few days in Foxboro after being acquired in a trade with Buffalo last weekend. Presumably, the Pats were disappointed with how he practiced this week. With Bodine’s bags packed, Ted Karras figures to slot in at center in place of starter David Andrews, who is recovering from blood clots.

Patriots acquired C Russell Bodine from the Bills in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round pick.
Bodine is the third offensive lineman the Patriots have acquired in recent days, joining OT Korey Cunningham and OG Jermaine Eluemunor. Bodine has a wealth of starting experience, having started all 74 games he’s appeared in during his five-year career with the Bengals and Bills. Bodine gives the Patriots an option to replace C David Andrews, whose season is in jeopardy due to blood clots. Ted Karras remains the favorite to start Week 1.

Bills C Russell Bodine suffered an oblique injury in the preseason opener.
It’s another hit to Buffalo’s offensive line. Bodine could potentially miss multiple weeks but should be ready for the start of the season. With LaAdrian Waddle (quad) and Conor McDermott (concussion) sidelined, the Bills may need to make a depth signing.

Bodine was rolled up early in the loss to the Dolphins. With Bodine headed to injured reserve, the Bills are expected to sign Dillon Day to back up Ryan Groy.

Bengals C Russell Bodine exited Week 6 against the Patriots with a foot injury.
Bodine was rolled up on in the third quarter. He rode the cart into the locker room and is doubtful to return. T.J. Johnson is in at center.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis suggested C Russell Bodine (ankle) is day-to-day.
“We’ll see how he goes this week,” Lewis said. Bodine rode a cart into the locker room after injuring his ankle in the third quarter against the Patriots. T.J. Johnson replaced him against New England and would get the start if Bodine is forced to miss any time.

Geoff Hobson of the Bengals’ official website believes fourth-round C Russell Bodine is “the guy” at center.
Mike Pollak was initially penciled in as the starter, but he sat out all of minicamp with a knee issue. Bodine stepped in with the ones and now has the edge. Bodine, the 111th pick last month, has a nasty streak and impressive weight-room strength; he benched 225 pounds 42 times at the Combine.

Bengals signed fourth-round C Russell Bodine to a four-year contract.
Bodine’s college tape was underwhelming, but he’s a 21-year-old with starting-caliber NFL measurables and impressive weight-room strength, bench pressing 225 pounds 42 times at the Combine. The Bengals have a vacancy at center after releasing Kyle Cook. Bodine could push for snaps there as soon as 2014.
