Tejada

Tejada last appeared in the majors in 2019 when he got into six games for the Mets. He didn’t play professionally last season after splitting the 2021 campaign at the Triple-A level between the White Sox and Phillies.

Tejada was recently cut loose by the Phillies after batting .231/.341/.262 at the Triple-A level. This is just a depth addition for the White Sox.

Tejada hit .231/.341/.262 across 264 plate appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley prior to his release earlier this week. The 31-year-old infielder is merely organizational infield depth at this stage of his career.

Tejada has logged just nine plate appearances in the majors since 2017. He’s a depth piece for Philly.

Tejada signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays during the offseason and now he apparently wants to look for an opportunity elsewhere. Outside of a brief return to the Mets last year, the 30-year-old hasn’t seen significant time in the majors since the 2017 season.

Tejada, 30, made a brief cameo with the Mets last season but spent most of the year in the minors. He hasn’t seen significant action in the big leagues since 2017 and is just a depth piece at this point.

The veteran infielder was released last week, but he decided to re-up with the Mets on a minor league deal instead. Tejada went 0-for-9 with three strikeouts during his brief time with the Mets this season.

Tejada’s return to the Mets was a brief one, as he was designated for assignment after going 0-for-9 with three strikeouts. He put up good numbers in the minors this year and could possibly latch on elsewhere for the stretch run.

Tejada went 0-for-9 with three strikeouts during his eight-day stay with the Mets. Chris Flexen will join the New York bullpen in a corresponding 25-man roster move.

This will be Tejada’s first time wearing a Mets uniform in an official capacity since he broke his leg in Game 2 of the 2015 NLDS against the Dodgers. The 29-year-old was batting .337/.412/.486 in 313 plate appearances this season between Double-A and Triple-A, but he had tallied just six homers and two stolen bases. There’s no fantasy appeal here.
