Former NFL CB Richard Sherman was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Saturday morning.
This marks the second time in three years that Sherman was arrested for driving under the influence. His previous case was dismissed following a guilty plea, resulting in two years’ probation and supervision in addition to court mandated courses. No further updates on the recent arrest were provided.

Amazon hired free agent CB Richard Sherman for its Thursday Night Football broadcasting team.
The 34-year-old will continue to train and is open to returning to the field as a player, but should the opportunity not come, Sherman will head into an analyst role for pregame, halftime, and postgame duties. Taking over Thursday Night Football starting this season, Amazon has already landed Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit as it’s play-by-play duo.

Buccaneers placed CB Richard Sherman on injured reserve.
Because this is Sherman’s second time on injured reserve this year, his season is over. His final output with the Bucs included 11 tackles, one interception, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.

Bucs activated CB Richard Sherman (calf) from injured reserve.
Sherman missed the last four weeks with a grade 2 calf strain. He’s expected to play limited snaps if active against Buffalo on Sunday. With Jordan Whitehead sidelined and Mike Edwards suspended, the Bucs could look to get Sherman some reps at safety down the stretch.

Bucs placed CB Richard Sherman (calf) on injured reserve.
Sherman was diagnosed with a grade 2 calf strain after suffering the injury in pre-game warmups ahead of his Week 10 matchup with Washington. He was spotted in a boot at practice on Wednesday. The injury dates back to Week 6 when he left versus the Eagles because of the calf issue. With the injury only getting worse, the Bucs are giving him at least three weeks to get past it while on injured reserve. They face the Giants on Monday Night Football this week. Daniel Jones will slot it as a mid-QB2 while trying to keep up with Tom Brady.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Buccaneers CB Richard Sherman has a grade 2 calf strain.
Sherman suffered the injury in pregame warmups before Tampa Bay’s Week 11 game against the Washington Football Team. Rapoport reports that the injury is expected to knock Sherman out for a few weeks, meaning a Bucs secondary that has already been picked apart several times this year will be even more shorthanded for the immediate future.

Richard Sherman (calf) is out for the Bucs’ Week 10 game against Washington.
The 33-year-old corner injured his calf during pregame warmups and won’t return, per the team. The shorthanded Bucs secondary should be a great matchup for Taylor Heinicke.

Richard Sherman (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday.
Sherman suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6. He was absent from practice the following week and did not suit up for the Bucs’ Week 7 game versus the Bears. The initial projection was that he would miss “a couple weeks” so a Week 8 return would be a surprisingly quick turnaround for the veteran corner. Sherman getting back in the lineup would be a major win for Tampa Bay after the team has been ravaged by injuries at cornerback all year.

Richard Sherman (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Bears.
Sherman tweaked his hamstring early in last week’s game against the Eagles and didn’t return to the field. Add him to the list of injured Bucs secondary members. Tampa’s banged-up defense takes on a less-than-frightening Bears offense in Week 7.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports CB Richard Sherman (hamstring) will miss “a couple weeks.”
Initial testing on Sherman’s injured hamstring show he likely won’t miss the rest of the season, and should be back later in October or early November. Tampa’s secondary, already plagued by injury, can ill afford another absence, even if Sherman, 33, has mostly been subpar since joining the Bucs a couple weeks ago. The Bucs will scramble to fill in their injury-riddled secondary next week against the Bears.
