Denarius Moore caught four passes for 94 yards with a touchdown in the Raiders’ 16-13 overtime Week 16 win over the Chiefs.
It’s Moore’s most productive game since sustained a foot/ankle injury in Week 11. He ran right past Reshard Langford for a 61-yard scoring bomb from Carson Palmer in the second quarter, his fifth touchdown of the year. Moore also made a diving catch to convert a big third down in the second half. With Palmer willing to chuck it deep at any time, Moore is trending up heading into next week’s season finale against the Chargers.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
    Chiefs re-signed S Reshard Langford.
Langford, a 2009 undrafted free agent, was released at final cuts earlier this month. The physical safety is back as depth now with Eric Berry (knee) officially placed on IR Wednesday.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
The Chiefs declined to tender S Reshard Langford, sending him to unrestricted free agency.
Langford, 26, was Kansas City’s fourth safety last season, contributing 11 tackles on defense and four on special teams. He’d need to be a more effective gunner to last in the pros. Langford’s K.C. run is over after three years.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
    Lions signed FS Reshard Langford.
Langford will give the Lions secondary depth with Louis Delmas (knee surgery) sidelined, and Amari Spievey missing Friday’s preseason game. Korey Bosworth was released in a corresponding move.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
Lions released FS Reshard Langford with an injury settlement.
The Chiefs’ fourth safety in 2011, Langford notched 11 tackles in 11 games. He made two starts. He’ll look to latch on elsewhere as a special teamer.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
Reshard Langford was the Chiefs’ surprise first-team strong safety as the team began OTAs on Monday.
Langford went undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2009. While coach Todd Haley professes to be high on the 24-year-old, he’ll be overtaken by No. 5 overall pick Eric Berry in short order. Langford will have to cover kicks well to stick.
  • FA Defensive Back #29
First-round pick Eric Berry moved past Reshard Langford as the Chiefs’ first-team strong safety at OTAs Monday.
That didn’t take long, unsurprisingly. Langford will have to stand out on special teams just to make the 53-man roster. Berry, the No. 5 overall pick, is a strong bet to lead all rookie defensive backs in tackles this season.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
Chiefs S Reshard Langford did not travel with the team to Indianapolis, and has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Colts.
Langford is buried behind rookie Eric Berry and Donald Washington on Kansas City’s depth chart, and has registered three tackles in two games played thus far in 2010.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
  • FA Defensive Back #30
Chiefs S Donald Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 16 against the Titans.
The reserve secondary player has seen time in 12 games this season, starting two. Reshard Langford - a rookie from Vanderbilt - could be active behind starting FS Eric Berry.
