J.B. Bickerstaff told reporters on Tuesday that the Cavs will “lean heavily on [Rajon] Rondo” during the playoffs.
Bickerstaff even said that he is a believe in “Playoff Rondo”. While this doesn’t mean that the Cavs will be benching All-Star guard Darius Garland in favor of Rondo, it does likely mean that we’ll see a lot of minutes from him and very few from Brandon Goodwin. Rondo played 25 minutes in their last game, which was a blowout win over the Bucks. Before that, he was seeing around 14 minutes per game, and he’ll likely play around that amount while mirroring Garland’s minutes during the postseason.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (ankle) saw 14 minutes off the bench in his return to action on Sunday and finished with six points, one rebound, two assists, two triples and two steals in a loss to the 76ers.
This was Rondo’s first game in three weeks, but he was the first guard off the bench tonight, and completely erased Brandon Goodwin from the rotation. Rondo will likely have his minutes managed over Cleveland’s final three games, so he’s not a great target in most leagues.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) is expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
Rondo has been out for a few games now, but he appears ready to make his return. He’ll serve as the backup point guard, which will drop Brandon Goodwin out of the rotation. Neither is worth rostering in any fantasy lineup.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable to play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Rondo hasn’t played since March 12th, so if he returns, he’ll likely split minutes with Brandon Goodwin behind Darius Garland, with neither of the backups providing any real fantasy value. As long as Garland is healthy, he’ll be the only fantasy relevant point guard in Cleveland.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) is once again being listed as out for Saturday’s game against the Knicks.
He hasn’t played in nearly three weeks, so proceed with the fantasy-relevant Cavs as you normally would.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) will not play vs. Atlanta on Thursday.
Rondo hasn’t played since March 12th and remains without a concrete timetable.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against Dallas.
Rondo will miss another game as expected. This won’t affect anyone’s fantasy roster at the moment though.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Dallas.
Rondo hasn’t played since March 12th, and it’s looking like that is not going to change on Wednesday. Brandon Goodwin will get some minutes as the backup point guard, but he is not a reliable fantasy prospect. Leave him and Rondo on the wire.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Magic.
Rondo remaining sidelined won’t have much of an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Brandon Goodwin will continue to fill the backup role, and he isn’t worth streaming due to the presence of starter Darius Garland.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that it is “not likely” that Rajon Rondo plays in Thursday’s game against Toronto.
Rondo has mised five-straight games, and it looks like he will make it a sixth on Thursday. Brandon Goodwin will get some minutes as a backup point guard, but he is not a fantasy target.
