PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS RETURN TO NBA PLAYOFFS ACTION THIS WEEK ON NBC SPORTS NORTHWEST

NBC Sports Northwest to Carry Official, Local NBA PLAYOFFS Round 1 Coverage vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on TUESDAY, AUGUST 18 (Game 1), THURSDAY, AUGUST 20 (Game 2) & MONDAY, AUGUST 24 (Game 4) featuring JORDAN KENT and LAMAR HURD with the Game Call; Network also scheduled to Carry Games 5-7 (if nec.)

PORTLAND, Ore. August 17, 2020NBC Sports Northwest – The Official Network of the Portland Trail Blazers – has announced its 2020 NBA Playoffs Round 1 coverage details featuring live multiplatform game coverage of Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers’ highly-anticipated series against LeBron James and the NBA Western Conference #1-seed Los Angeles Lakers.

NBC Sports Northwest’s official, local coverage of the Trail Blazers return to the NBA Playoffs gets underway with Game 1 tomorrow evening (Tuesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. PT) LIVE from AdventHealth Arena in Orlando, Fla. featuring Jordan Kent and Lamar Hurd with the game call. In addition, NBC Sports Northwest will also carry exclusive, local coverage of Game 2 (Thu, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. PT), Game 4 (Mon, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. PT), along with Games 5-7 if necessary (schedule subject to change).

NBC Sports Northwest’s extensive Trail Blazers Round 1 NBA Playoffs coverage, which includes live streaming of every NBC Sports Northwest Blazers playoff telecast and surrounding game coverage on Blazers Pregame/Postgame, will also be made available to authenticated subscribers via NBCSportsNorthwest.com and the “MyTeams by NBC Sports” app. Also on digital, Blazers fans can visit NBCSportsNorthwest.com/Trailblazers and the “MyTeams by NBC Sports” app for expert Blazers coverage featuring in-depth NBA Playoffs pre/postgame reports, player/coaches interviews, highlight videos, special features, galleries and much more. NBC Sports Northwest’s extensive game night coverage for all Trail Blazers playoff match-ups begins with “Blazers GameDay,” hosted by NBC Sports Northwest Rip City Radio’s Chad Doing. One hour prior to tipoff, Doing hosts “Blazers Warm Up” alongside NBC Sports Northwest Blazers “Insider” Dwight Jaynes, which is followed by the 30-minute “Blazers Pregame” show. An expanded edition of “Blazers Postgame” will air after each game, which will then be followed by “Blazers Outsiders” featuring co-hosts Joe Simons and Dan Marang.

Plus - NBC Sports Northwest delivers the popular “Talkin’ Blazers” podcast, which recently posted record-setting downloads for its latest two episodes featuring special guests Richard Jefferson and Kevin Love. Hosted by 13-year NBA veteran/former Trail Blazers standout Channing Frye, along with Emmy-award recipient/Rip City Radio 620 morning host Dan Sheldon, the “Talkin’ Blazers ” podcast features in-depth NBA Playoffs discussion on the hottest topics and breaking news, along with special guest interviews with Blazers players/coaches/front office execs and additional NBA experts across the country.
