FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA TRAVELS TO UNIVERSAL CITYWALK ORLANDO THIS SATURDAY, DEC. 21, AT NOON ET AHEAD OF TEXANS-CHIEFS ON NBC AND PEACOCK

Football Night in America Originates From Universal CityWalk Orlando Ahead of New Universal Epic Universe Theme Park Grand Opening in 2025

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 18, 2024Football Night in America – the most-watched weekly studio show in sports – will originate from Universal CityWalk Orlando this Saturday, December 21, at Noon ET on NBC and Peacock, leading into this Saturday’s NFL Holiday Special between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock, and Universo.

Football Night in America will be on-site at Universal CityWalk Orlando ahead of the launch of Universal Epic Universe, as viewers on NBC and Peacock will get an exclusive look at the first major theme park to open in Orlando in 25 years.

Maria Taylor will host Saturday’s special edition of FNIA on-site from Universal CityWalk Orlando alongside former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, three-time Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty, and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy and two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney Harrison will join co-host Jac Collinsworth at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

NFL Insider Mike Florio and fantasy sports industry pioneer Matthew Berry will be in-studio at NBC Sports’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., along with Steve Kornacki to break down playoff scenarios.

Saturday’s game on NBC/Peacock will be called by Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst), and Kathryn Tappen (sidelines). Terry McAulay serves as the rules analyst. This Saturday will also feature the EA Sports Madden NFL Cast, an alternate stream of Texans vs. Chiefs exclusively on Peacock.

Universal Epic Universe – located just a few miles from Universal Orlando’s current offerings – will fully immerse guests in beloved cross-generational stories that empower them to be the epic heroes of their adventures. The new theme park – which officially opens May 22, 2025 – will feature breathtaking, multi-sensory environments and innovative technology to create an entirely new level of experience that will forever change theme park entertainment. Guests will explore five spectacularly themed worlds, an array of unique dining, shopping and entertainment experiences, and so much more.
