CSN Houston Earns Gold at PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing Awards

HOUSTON --- Comcast SportsNet Houston (CSN), the television home for the most games and the most comprehensive coverage of the Houston Astros, Rockets, and Dynamo, earned five awards at the PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing Awards 2013event held on Nov. 19 in New York City.

CSN took home a pair of Gold awards and three Silver awards, adding to an already impressive trophy case that includes five Lone Star Emmy Awards and a Bronze award from the PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards for its “Know More” TV spot featuring Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.

CSN earned Gold awards for Best Logo Design (Astros Bases Loaded) and Best Print, Poster or Outdoor (CSN Mural), as well as the Silver Award in the Best Print, Poster or Outdoor (CSN Peacock Design). The network also earned Silver awards for its “Know More” campaign featuring Jeremy Lin (Best Use of an Athlete) and Jose Altuve (Best Use of Design).

The spots were used during the initial launch of the network and created by CSN’s marketing and creative teams in conjunction with The Richards Group, a full service branding and advertising agency.

“This recognition by our industry peers highlights the level of quality creative work CSN produces,” CSN Vice President of Marketing Helen Wilson said.

The PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing Awards bring together the executives, creative and personalities driving success in the sports media industry and celebrate the best strategic and creative marketing from the global community.
