He also regularly covered Houston’s other professional, college and high school teams.

Prior to joining Comcast SportsNet Houston, Salazar spent more than three years covering Washington/Baltimore-area sports. As a member of Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic from 2009 to 2012, he produced written and video content for CSNwashington.com and CSNbaltimore.com, including high school sports shows. For the 2012 MLS season, he joined D.C. United as a website reporter and host and contributed to Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic’s live coverage as sideline reporter.

Salazar’s other experience includes two years as a sports anchor and reporter for WHSV-TV (ABC) in Winchester, Va., from 2006 to 2008, and with WDNN-TV in Dalton, Ga., from 2005 to 2006. His first position in sports media was as an intern for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic’s news department in 2003.

Salazar attended Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Md., and earned a degree in broadcast communications from Westminster College (Pa.). Salazar can be followed on Twitter at @SebiSalazarCSN.
