STAMFORD, Conn. – July 14, 2021 – With kickoff of the 2021-22 Premier League season less than one month from today, NBC Sports announced its schedule for August, as NBCUniversal will once again present live coverage of every Premier League match across NBC, NBCSN, Peacock, CNBC, Telemundo and Universo.
The opening weekend schedule kicks off Friday, August 13 at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Universo, as newly-promoted Brentford, who play their first season in England’s top flight in 75 years, host Arsenal. Coverage begins at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN with a special two-hour, season-opening edition of Premier League Live.
Highlighting the opening Saturday, August 14, Liverpool visit newly-promoted Norwich City at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock and Universo. Defending champions Manchester City headline the action on Sunday, August 15, as they visit Tottenham at 11:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN and Telemundo.
This season, Peacock will stream all games airing on the broadcast network live. Peacock will live stream 17 Premier League matches in August, including two of the three matches played by Christian Pulisic and Champions League winner Chelsea. Fourteen of the games on Peacock will be exclusive to the streaming service. In addition, Peacock will feature studio shows, full match replays and the Premier League TV channel. All matchdays and windows exclusively on Peacock will feature NBC Sports’ Premier League studio coverage.
For the first time, Telemundo Deportes’ Andres Cantor will call select Premier League matches in English. A legendary fútbol announcer who is being inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame this fall, Cantor’s English-language match calls will offer an additional live experience on NBCUniversal platforms including Peacock.
NBC Sports’ Premier League voices Rebecca Lowe, Arlo White, Cantor, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, and Tim Howard will all serve as commentators for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics, which begin next week.
“The 2 Robbies” podcast, featuring former Premier League footballers Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe, will return with two new episodes every week of the Premier League season including a season preview episode discussing the top storylines heading into the 2021-22 campaign. Those episodes along with every episode are available on “The 2 Robbies” podcast feed anywhere you listen to podcasts.
Peacock’s expansive sports programming features live sports coverage on the service including the Tour de France, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, Premier Lacrosse League, INDYCAR, Premiership Rugby, the 2021-22 Premier League season, Sunday Night Football, and Super Bowl LVI. Peacock Originals streaming on the service now include Lost Speedways, hosted by Dale Earnhardt, Jr.; Golden: The Journey of USA’s Elite Gymnasts; My Pursuit: Life, Legacy & Jordan Burroughs; The Greatest Race; Michael Phelps: Medals, Memories & More, and In Deep with Ryan Lochte. Peacock also offers daily sports programming on the NBC Sports channel which streams Peacock Original Brother from Another, as well as The Dan Patrick Show, PFT Live, and The Rich Eisen Show.

Brentford, Norwich City, and Watford join as the promoted clubs for the 2021-22 season. Brentford will play in the English top flight for the first time since the 1946-47 season, while Norwich City and Watford return to the Premier League after a single-season absence.

BRENTFORD V. ARSENAL
Ivan Toney, who led the EFL Championship with 33 goals last season, leads a Brentford club which will play in the English top tier for the first time in 75 seasons as they make their Premier League debut hosting Arsenal at Brentford Community Stadium. Brentford defeated Swansea City, 2-0, in the Championship Play-off Final last season to secure their first-ever promotion to the PL. The Gunners and top goal scorer Alexander Lacazette finished last season on a five-match winning streak.

TOTTENHAM V. MANCHESTER CITY
Reigning Premier League champion Manchester City and 2020-21 Premier League Player of the Season Ruben Dias begin their quest for their fourth Premier League title in the last five seasons (2018, 2019, 2021) as they travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Spurs and new head coach Nuno Espírito Santo. Tottenham’s Harry Kane finished last season with the most goals (23) and assists (14) in the Premier League.

ARSENAL V. CHELSEA
U.S. Men’s National Team star and Hershey, Pennsylvania native Christian Pulisic and Chelsea look to build upon last season’s fourth-place Premier League finish as they visit Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Chelsea won their second Champions League title last season, topping Manchester City, 1-0, in the final, while Arsenal advanced to the semifinals of the Europa League.

LIVERPOOL V. CHELSEA
Mohamed Salah and Liverpool aim for their sixth consecutive season with a top-four Premier League finish after going unbeaten in their final 10 matches last season to secure third place. Salah ranked second in the Premier League with 22 goals last year, marking the third time in the last four seasons that he has scored at least 20 goals. Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea travel to Anfield, where they won this fixture last season, 1-0, behind a Mason Mount goal in March.
