STAMFORD, Conn. – July 6, 2020 – Two consecutive weeks of Paralympic programming continues on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA tonight as the 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships will be featured as part of 2019 World Championships Week. More than 25 hours of 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships programming from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will be presented. Two-time Paralympic gold medalists Deja Young and Roderick Townsend, and seven-time Paralympic medalist Amanda McGrory will spotlight the competition.
China finished atop the 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships medal table, totaling 59 medals. Team USA collected 34 medals at the competition -- 12 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze medals.
NBC Sports’ Jimmy Roberts will introduce each night of coverage of the 2019 World Para Track & Field Championships.

TONIGHT, MONDAY, JULY 6: DAY 1 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The opening night of the Championships featured several U.S. athletes advancing through the opening round of competition to the finals. Jaryd Clifford of Australia set a world record in the men’s 1500m T13 final.
TUESDAY, JULY 7: DAY 2 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Team USA won its first medal of the Championships, when Cheri Madsen earned the bronze medal in the women’s 100m T54 and several more Americans advanced to the finals on the second day of competition.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 8: DAY 3 AND 4 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Night 3 in Dubai featured the first career World Championship medal for American Daniel Romanchuk. Romanchuk claimed gold in the men’s 800m T54 less than a week after winning the New York City Marathon.
Amanda McGrory returned from injury to finish runner-up in the women’s 800m T54, while teammate Susannah Scaroni earned bronze.
THURSDAY, JULY 9: DAY 5 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
On the fifth night of competition, the U.S. continued to earn medals following the team’s world-record performance by Deja Young in the women’s 100m T47 heats and Roderick Townsend’s silver medal in the men’s long jump T47 earlier in the day.
FRIDAY, JULY 10: DAY 6 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the first international Paralympic meet of her career, Brittni Mason set a world record, breaking Young’s record-setting performance the day before, in the women’s 100m T47. Young earned the silver medal, as Team USA finished 1-2 in the event.
SATURDAY, JULY 11: DAY 7 AND 8 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The U.S. won six medals on the penultimate day of competition, highlighted by Sam Grewe defending his title and tying the championship record in the men’s high jump T63.
Team USA also captured the gold in the 4x100m universal relay, which featured Noah Malone, Jaleen Roberts, Erik Hightower and Young.
SUNDAY, JULY 12: DAY 9 OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
On the ninth and final day of the Championships, Josh Cinnamo set a world record in the men’s shot put F46 to claim gold and his first-ever medal, to bring the total American medal count to 34.
