STAMFORD, Conn. – August 17, 2022 – Tokyo Olympic medalists Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles and defending U.S. all-around men’s champion Brody Malone headline NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships from Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, beginning tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA with the first of two sessions featuring the senior men.

This week’s competition is highlighted by Tokyo Olympic floor exercise gold medalist Carey, who is also the only athlete entered in the senior women’s field this week who has won an individual U.S. championship (vault in 2017). Other notable athletes expected to compete include Tokyo Olympic team silver medalist Chiles, 2021 U.S. all-around champion and Tokyo Olympian Malone, as well as Tokyo Olympians Yul Moldauer and Shane Wiskus in the men’s field and world medalists Leanne Wong and Kayla DiCello in the women’s field. The men’s event will also feature 2021 world pommel horse champion Stephen Nedoroscik.

Results at this week’s U.S. Championships will factor into the selection process for the 2022 World Championships, taking place from October 26-November 6 in Liverpool, England, which will be the first qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The top three men’s and women’s teams at the 2022 World Championships will earn a team quota place for Paris.

NBC Sports’ Terry Gannon will call this week’s event, joined by five-time Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin and two-time Olympic medalist Tim Daggett. Three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger and Zora Stephenson will serve as reporters.
