STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2022 – One week from today, NBC Sports kicks off its coverage of the 2022 NFL season with the 2022 Hall of Fame Game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Coverage begins on Thurs., Aug. 4, on NBC and Peacock with Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET followed by game coverage at 8 p.m. ET.

Calling the preseason contest will be the new Sunday Night Football announce team of Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark, with Terry McAulay serving as rules analyst. It will be the first time the team will call a game together.

Football Night, the most-watched studio show in sports, will be on-site in Canton for the first time. The Football Night team of Maria Taylor, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Jason Garrett, Chris Simms, Jac Collinsworth and Mike Florio will feature player and coach interviews, preview the game and the 2022 NFL season, and celebrate the players being inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend. This will be the first time the new Football Night team is together. It was announced earlier this year that Taylor is serving as the show’s new host and Garrett as a new analyst.

NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk will also be on-site in Canton to report on the news and festivities surrounding the game for TODAY and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

This year’s Hall of Fame class includes tackle Tony Boselli, wide receiver Cliff Branch, safety LeRoy Butler, official Art McNally, linebacker Sam Mills, defensive end/defensive tackle Richard Seymour, coach Dick Vermeil and defensive tackle/defensive end Bryant Young.

Sunday Night Football is the NFL’s premier primetime package, has won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Sports Series a record 11 times, and has been primetime’s #1 TV show in all key metrics for an unprecedented 11 consecutive years. In 2021, Sunday Night Football averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 19.3 million viewers on NBC, Peacock and other digital platforms.

Emmy-nominated Football Night begins at 7 p.m. ET each week during the NFL regular season on NBC and Peacock and provides highlights and analysis of the afternoon games, interviews with high-profile players and coaches, breaking news insights, and an extensive preview of that night’s Sunday Night Football matchup. Since its inception in 2006, Football Night has been the most-watched studio show in sports. In 2021, the program averaged 7.1 million viewers, up 18% vs. the previous season.

For the second consecutive season, Peacock will live stream all NBC Sunday Night Football games, including the playoffs, and Football Night. The exclusive Peacock Sunday Night Football Final returns in 2022 with expanded postgame coverage following SNF each week.

Following its presentation of the Hall of Fame game, NBC Sports begins coverage of the 2022 regular season with NFL Kickoff on Thursday, Sept. 8, featuring the Buffalo Bills at the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
