Former Kings guard Pooh Jeter has signed a contract to play with the G league Ignite this season according to Marc J Spears of ESPN.
Jeter played with the Kings for the 2010-2011 season but has spent the rest of his professional career mainly in Europe and China. Jeter, who is 37 years old, will head back stateside to suit up in the G League, which means he is nowhere near a fantasy target.

  • DAL Center #24
The Kings have renounced their rights to Samuel Dalembert, Pooh Jeter, Marquis Daniels and Darnell Jackson.
Dalembert had a huge salary cap hold for the Kings, so they needed to renounce him in order to sign Marcus Thornton and Chuck Hayes. He’ll likely become a consolation prize for some team that misses out on Marc Gasol, Tyson Chandler and Nene (possibly the Rockets).

Pooh Jeter has signed with the Shandong Bulls in China.
Jeter played in Spain last season and will once again play abroad this year in China.

Pooh Jeter agreed to re-sign with the Shandong Bulls in China.
He’s been linked to re-signing in China for most of the summer. Jeter was outstanding last season, averaging 25.2 points, 3.9 assists and 2.0 treys.

Pooh Jeter said it is possible that he may return to playing in China.
Jeter is currently finishing up his season with Limoges in France, but it sounds like he isn’t planning on a return to the NBA. “I will sit and look at my options with my agent B.J. Armstrong when the season is over. It’s a very possible scenario that I sign with Shandong and return to China. It will be my 4th season there. I started my professional career in Europe, the last few summers I played against the best point guards in the world and I showed what I’m capable of.” We’ll keep an eye on Jeter’s decision, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be headed to the NBA any time soon.
  • NBA Power Forward #91
Blake Griffin trained with Olympic sprinter Carmelita Jeter.
Remember Pooh Jeter? It’s his sister. “I’ve always believed that the first two steps you take to catch an opponent or beat someone down the court are the most important,” Griffin said. While Jeter offered some form corrections that should help Griffin’s mobility, this won’t impact his established fantasy value.

Pooh Jeter has decided not to leave the Shandong Flaming Bulls for the NBA.
There was speculation that Jeter was set to join the Lakers after undergoing a workout with the team, but Jeter poured cold water on that speculation in an interview with The Beijing Times. “I was a native of Los Angeles who grew up as Lakers’ fan and so I’m very honored to receive their invitation. I will train in L.A. for two weeks, but I’ll play in Shandong also because I have a contract with them.”

Pooh Jeter will be invited to the Lakers for training camp.
He has been in the NBA before, averaging 4.1 points, 2.6 assists and 0.5 steals in 2010-11 with the Kings. Jeter may have garnered the attention of the Lakers from his FIBA World Cup as the leading scorer of the Ukraine team with 15.4 points per game. He’ll compete for the No. 3 point guard spot on the team.

Pooh Jeter returned to Los Angeles and is hopeful to play in the NBA this season.
He played in China earlier and a team may opt to sign him to a 10-day deal at some point. Jeter put up big numbers in China, averaging 25.2 points, 3.9 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.5 treys. He can be left on the wire in all leagues right now.

PG Pooh Jeter signed a one-year deal with Spanish club Joventut Badalona.
There’s no word about an opt-out clause, but we’re guessing he’ll play the entire season there. Jeter opened some eyes in Sacramento, showing that he could be an effective bench player, and we’ll likely see him back in the NBA in a year or two.
