Eagles players have built a shrine to Nick Foles in the locker room

One of the nice things about a team winning a couple games and keeping their playoff hopes alive is the fact that it allows players to have some fun off of the field.

And what's the point of pro sports if you can't have a wacky time when you're not playing?

That's demonstrated perfectly in the Eagles locker room this week, where Fletcher Cox and Chris Long have taken the lead in building a shrine to their quarterback, Nick Foles.

As you can see in the above video, the shrine — which likely pales in comparison to similar shrines in the homes of crazy Eagles fans throughout Philadelphia — is rather simple, with a couple of photos of Foles, some vigil candles, and some incense.

But as Long describes it, the order in which things are lit is of the utmost importance.

Are they trying to break some sort of hex or what?

"I don't think it's no anti-voodoo type deal," Cox said of the reasoning behind the shrine, which is kind of a bummer. Anti-voodoo would have been fun. "Nick will appreciate it, for sure."

"We'll light the incense on Saturday," Long said.

Makes sense.

Eagles 67, Texans 3.
