We all needed some levity on Thursday night after the news that Joel Embiid suffered a concussion and needed orbital bone surgery.

Long and Lane Johnson made the underdog German Shepherd mask famous during the Eagles’ playoff run when, despite being the No. 1 seed, they were underdogs in all three of their postseason games on the way to winning Super Bowl LII.
Right now, the Sixers would have home-court advantage in their first-round playoff game, but there’s still more regular season to play without Embiid. Even if they keep the four-seed, the Sixers without Embiid would likely be considered huge underdogs.
But could you imagine seeing Embiid trot out onto the court in warmups before the first playoff game wearing this mask?
