In the first half of Game 2 between the Sixers and Hawks, things get heated between Joel Embiid and Danilo Gallinari as they trade technical fouls.

SIGN UP HERE JOEL AND ALLEN: Embiid has scored 79 points in the first two games of the Hawks series, and Allen Iverson is the only player in franchise history to score more points in the first two games of any postseason series. Iverson scored 90 in the first two games of the 2001 series against the Raptors and 84 in the first two games of the 2003 series against the Hornets.
TWICE IN A ROW: Embiid is the 8th player in NBA history with consecutive postseason games of 38 points, 9 rebounds and higher than 50 percent shooting from the field. The others are all Hall of Famers (Bob Pettit, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain).
HE HAD 13 REBOUNDS TOO! Embiid became the first NBA player with 40 points and 13 rebounds in a playoff game since LeBron James had 40 and 18 for the Heat against the Pacers in 2012. He's the 16th player ever with a 40-13 game in the postseason.
AND HE HAS A TORN KNEE: Embiid now has four 30-point performances in six games this postseason. The only Sixers with more 30-point games in any postseason are Allen Iverson (three times) and Wilt Chamberlain, Hal Greer, Julius Erving and Andrew Toney once each.

WE LOVE BILLY CUNNINGHAM REFERENCES: Embiid’s 40 points are the most by a Sixer in the postseason since Allen Iverson had 45 against the Hornets in 2003. Iverson had 10 40-point playoff games and Wilt Chamberlain had two. Only four other 76ers have had one: Billy Cunningham, Hal Greer, Lee Shaffer and Dolph Schayes. The last 76er with a 40-point, 10-rebound playoff game was Cunningham with 50 and 10 against the Bucks in 1970.
WHAT ABOUT SHAKE? Milton became the sixth player in NBA history and the first in eight years with at least four 3-pointers in 14 or fewer minutes of a playoff game. Anthony Bowie, Brent Price, Steve Kerr, J.R. Smith and D.J. Augustin have also done it. Shake is only the third 76er with four 3’s in 14 minutes in any game – regular season or postseason. Donyell Marshall made four in eight minutes in 2008 against the Kings and Robert Covington had four in 14 minutes against the Knicks in 2014.
GOOD OL’ BUD OGDEN: Milton’s 14 points are the most ever by a 76er in the postseason in 14 or fewer minutes. The previous scoring high in such a short run was 12, by Bud Ogden in 1970, Steve Mix in 1980, Bob McAdoo in 1986 and Ben Coleman in 1989.
TIGHTENING UP THE DEE: The 76ers have held the opposition to fewer than 20 fourth-quarter points in four of their six games so far this postseason. They held the Wizards to 15, 17 and 18 4th-quarter points in Games 2, 3 and 5 of their series and held the Hawks to 18 points Tuesday evening. The rest of the NBA has held the opposition to 18 or fewer 4th-quarter points six times in 88 games this postseason.
LIGHTING IT UP FROM 3: Before Tuesday night, only three 76ers in franchise history had taken at least five 3’s in a playoff game and made at least 80 percent. On Tuesday, both Seth Curry and Shake Milton did it. Curry was 5-for-6 (83 percent) and Milton was 4-for-5 (80 percent). The three others are Aaron McKie against the Pacers in 2001, Jrue Holiday against the Heat in 2011 and Tobias Harris vs. the Nets in 2019.
PROTECTING THE BALL: The 76ers committed only seven turnovers, matching their fewest in a playoff game since they had six in a 100-94 loss to the Heat in 2011.
BONUS STAT: The 76ers made 12 of 26 from 3 for 46 percent. That’s the 3rd-highest in franchise history in the postseason on at least 25 attempts, but the 2nd-highest in the last 10 days. They shot 18-for-28 (64 percent) against the Heat in 2018 and shot 17-for-33 (52 percent) against the Wizards in Game 3 this year.
ONE MORE BONUS STAT: This is crazy, but Tobias Harris and Curry have both scored 20 or more points on better than 50 percent shooting in three straight games. The last 76er with a longer streak is Charles Barkley, who had five in a row in 1990. Embiid would be at seven in a row if he didn’t have to leave Game 4 of the Wizards series early.
