As the competitive scene enters a lull following the end of All-Stars 2019, Fanatics, one of the official esports apparel providers of the Overwatch League, has revealed Top 7 best-selling jerseys from Stage 2 and compared to Stage 1, things have shaken up a bit.
With the conclusion of Stage 1, the ever-popular streamer and former Atlanta Reign DPS, Daniel “Dafran” Francesca, who previously held the No. 1 spot for the most jerseys sold has been dethroned following his retirement earlier in the year.
At the top of the list for Stage 2, we have the New York Excelsior’s star flex support Bang “JJoNak” Seong-hyun. Known for his aggressive yet mechanically precise Zenyatta play, Jjonak's popularity stemming from his team's outstanding inaugural season run and the resulting 2018 OWL MVP title has carried over into Stage 2 and has helped him to remain as one of the league's most famous faces.
Other popular support players such as Seoul Dynasty’s Ryu “ryujehong” Jehong and Atlanta Reign Flex Support Dusttin “Dogman” Bowerman also find themselves on this list in third and seventh place, respectively. Both players have a long history as competitors and have steadily grown their respective followings better than most other pros, so in conjunction with strong showings in Stage 2, it's not too surprising to see their names appearing on this list.
As far as Fusion players are concerned, one would think that the Philly players after a Stage 2 featuring a series of highs and lows on a team that now finds itself in the middle of the pack would have fallen out of popularity. However, after placing seventh on last stage’s list, Philadelphia Fusion off-tank Gael “Poko” Gouzerch has not only remained in the top percentile of jersey sales but now also has the second-best selling jersey in the Overwatch League. It's uncertain what influenced such a high volume of his jerseys to be sold, but it's safe to say that his success in part is owed to this team's player-focused video content, entertaining stream personality and a slew of highlight-reel worthy D.Va moments.
Poko is joined on this list by his fellow Tank player, Son “OGE” Minseok who comes in at fourth following an impressive run with the Dallas Fuel over the course of Stage 2.

Lastly, we have the San Francisco Shock's DPS Jay “Sinatraa” Won and main tank Matthew “Super” DeLisi at fifth and sixth, respectively. After a "golden run" through Stage 2 going undefeated without dropping a single map during the regular season and taking down the Vancouver Titans in the finals, the SF Shock are at an all-time high in their organization's history.
The Overwatch League action picks up again in Stage 3, which begins on June 6.
