It's now official: the Flyers will play their fifth outdoor game in franchise history on Sunday, Feb. 21, against the Bruins at 3 p.m. ET.
The game on NBC should be one for the photo albums.
The Flyers are participating in the league's two-game event called NHL Outdoors at Lake Tahoe. The Avalanche and Golden Knights will kick it off the day before the Flyers and Bruins take the ice along the shore of Lake Tahoe at Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Stateline, Nevada. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, no fans will be in attendance.

The NHL Outdoors at Lake Tahoe event was first reported on New Year's Day.
“On behalf of the Philadelphia Flyers, we are thrilled to be able to participate in one of the two outdoor weekend games in Lake Tahoe," general manager Chuck Fletcher said in a statement released by the league. "In a real ‘Mystery Alaska’ setting, our game versus the Boston Bruins will take place on the shore of Lake Tahoe with the picturesque Sierra Nevada mountains towering above the rink. This will surely be an unforgettable spectacle and we’re very excited to be a part of it.”
The league released a promotional video trailer, which you can watch below.

The Flyers will wear their Reverse Retro adidas jersey, which should look pretty sharp on the ice at the lakefront 18th fairway of the resort's golf course.
The Flyers are 1-2-1 all-time in outdoor games. For James van Riemsdyk, it will mark the seventh outdoor game of his NHL career. He has gone 3-2-1 in those games with the Flyers and Maple Leafs.
Amid their 56-game sprint in the Northeast, the Flyers will at least get to play one of those games with some scenery.
