The NHL on Sunday announced the approval of its 56-game 2020-21 regular season, which will begin Jan. 13.
For the first time in over 10 months, the puck will be dropped again at the Wells Fargo Center on Jan. 13.
Now Flyers fans know when exactly they'll see their team clash with the Penguins in Philadelphia to kick off the 2020-21 regular season.
Puck drop for the Flyers-Penguins opener that Wednesday night is slated for 5:30 p.m. ET as the game will be featured in a national tripleheader on NBC Sports Network. The Blackhawks will meet the Lightning at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Blues against the Avalanche at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The Flyers will play seven games on the NBC national networks: Jan. 13 (vs. Penguins), Feb. 3 (vs. Bruins), Feb. 7 (at Washington), Feb. 21 (at Boston), Feb. 24 (vs. Rangers), March 17 (at Rangers) and April 18 (vs. the Islanders).
