Carter Hart lasted only one period Tuesday night at Capital One Arena as the Flyers' goalie exited with a lower-body injury.
The 23-year-old allowed three goals in the opening stanza against the Capitals and appeared to be laboring toward the end of the period.
Martin Jones took over in net at the start of the middle frame.

Hart did not suit up for the Flyers' 4-1 loss March 29 to the Wild. The club held him out for precautionary reasons as he dealt with a nagging injury.
Hart had not been sharp in his previous four starts entering Tuesday night, going 0-4-0 and yielding 19 goals. Twelve of those markers came against the Avalanche and Maple Leafs, two of the league's top three goal-scoring clubs.
On Tuesday night, Hart was not the only Flyer forced to leave the game before the second period. Cam Atkinson departed with a lower-body injury and did not return after being boarded by Washington winger Tom Wilson with 2:15 minutes left in the first period.
Despite battling injuries, Atkinson has played in all 73 games this season. The 32-year-old winger has been very good in Year 1 with the Flyers, leading the team with 23 goals and 50 points.

"I don't have an update yet," interim head coach Mike Yeo told reporters in D.C. about the injuries after the Flyers' embarrassing 9-2 loss. "Obviously not good enough to play in the game tonight, so I would certainly consider them both doubtful for tomorrow."
The retooling Flyers, who were officially eliminated from playoff contention last month, are right back in game action Wednesday when they host the Rangers (7 p.m. ET/TNT).
