Things are pretty different from last year, huh? Even with who is rooting for the Eagles this time around.
Philadelphia wasn’t the only city that couldn’t exhale during the final minutes of the Eagles-Texans game. The entire Patriots locker room and all of Boston was also anxiously awaiting to watch Jake Elliott’s 35-yard kick to ensure a 32-30 Eagles win over the Texans (see Roob's observations). With an Eagles win, the Patriots are back in second place in the AFC and can secure a first-round bye if they win against the Jets next week.
They were pretty excited about the Eagles' nerve-wracking final play, according to social media. Who would have thought that, just on the cusp of playoff season, the Patriots would be rooting for the same team and quarterback who crushed their Super Bowl title hopes last year?
Well, well, well how the turntables.
