7:36 p.m.: That’ll do it. Josh McCown did a fine job tonight but it’ll be hard for the Eagles to escape the feeling that they would have won this game with Carson Wentz.
Oh well. There’s always next year.

7:31 p.m.: Josh McCown just got sacked on 4th-and-7 with the season on the line. Valiant effort from McCown tonight but he needs to at least throw the ball. You never know what can happen. But the 40-year-old trying to run away to avoid the pressure isn’t going to work.
7:14 p.m.: Miles Sanders couldn’t haul in a 4th-and-4 pass and the Eagles turned the ball over on downs, ending a promising drive. There’s still 6:21 left and the Eagles are down eight.
6:58 p.m.: The Eagles are in this game but they’re lucky to be in it. Big third down coming up to start the fourth.
After 3: Seahawks 17, Eagles 9
6:50 p.m.: Jake Elliott just made his third field goal of the game to make this a one-score game. The Eagles found a way to move the ball but again sputtered in the red zone.
Still 2:49 left in the third: Seahawks 17, Eagles 9
6:40 p.m.: Russell Wilson just hit D.K. Metcalf for a 53-yard touchdown pass and the Seahawks are up two scores. Metcalf beat Avonte Maddox down the field.
Can Josh McCown really bring back the Eagles? It doesn’t seem likely.
With 8:46 left in the third: Seahawks 17, Eagles 6
6:32 p.m.: The Eagles failed to get in the end zone but at least they got points to start the second half. Jake Elliott drilled a 26-yard field goal to cut into the lead. But the Eagles got down to the Seattle 5-yard line and couldn’t score. They got a delay of game penalty on the 5-yard line to push them back.
The big play on the 67-yard drive was a 32-yard pass to Zach Ertz.
Still 10:36 left in the third: Seahawks 10, Eagles 6
6:12 p.m.: Miles Sanders got hurt on the last play of the first half and limped into the locker room. That about sums up this season and this game for the Eagles.
They’ve been competitive, they’ve shown fight, but they’ve also been decimated by injuries.
If the Eagles are going to overcome the first-half deficit, they’re going to have to rely on Josh McCown and what’s left of the offense to put up points. It certainly won’t be easy.
In that first half, the Seahawks out-gained the Eagles 229-87. But the Birds get the ball back to start the second half.
At halftime: Seahawks 10, Eagles 3
6:06 p.m.: The Seahawks just took back their lead with an 82-yard touchdown drive. The biggest play of the drive came on a 3rd-and-10 pass to David Moore. Cre’Von LeBlanc was in coverage and failed to tackle him short. Then the defense looked like they might be able to get a stop in the red zone but Derek Barnett was called for a roughing the passer on a 2nd-and-10 incompletion. It was a fair call but these refs missed and obvious personal foul on the hit from Jadeveon Clowney on Wentz earlier in the game.
Instead of 3rd-and-goal from the 10, the Seahawks got a first down and punched in a touchdown run.
With 1:06 left in the half: Seahawks 10, Eagles 3
5:52 p.m.: Jake Elliott just tied up the game with a 46-yard field goal after Josh McCown led them down the field. McCown led the Eagles 64 yards on 13 plays in 5:53. The big play of the drive was a 17-yard completion to Dallas Goedert. McCown even ran for a gain of 11.
With 2:48 left in the half: Eagles 3, Seahawks 3
5:18 p.m.: The Seahawks took a lead on a field goal but the bigger news is an injury to Carson Wentz. The Eagles’ quarterback had to go to the locker room late in the first quarter. Wentz is being evaluated for a concussion. He’s questionable to return.
After 1: Seahawks 3, Eagles 0
4:55 p.m.: The Seahawks were about to take an early lead but Vinny Curry blocked a 35-yard field goal. That came after Fletcher Cox mauled the center on third down. This place is electric right now.
4:48 p.m.: The Seahawks got the ball first but went 3-and-out. Cre’Von LeBlanc started as the nickel corner and got a big PBU. But the Eagles’ offense went 3-and-out on the ensuing drive anyway.

12:55 p.m.: I have arrived at the Linc. There are a ton of tailgaters outside and it’s very windy. Keep that in mind once this game kicks off.
9:28 a.m.: Good morning, everyone! It’s playoff time!
In case you missed it, we got some news on Saturday. Lane Johnson will be out for this game, which means Halapoulivaati Vaitai will start at right tackle and Matt Pryor will start at right guard. But Zach Ertz has been cleared, so he’ll play against the Seahawks.
If you’re heading down to the Linc, have fun.
The early game today between the Saints and Vikings will determine the Eagles’ next opponent if they’re able to advance. If the Saints win, the Eagles would travel to San Francisco next week for a Saturday game. If the Vikings win, the Eagles would travel to Green Bay for a Sunday game.
But first the Eagles need to beat the Seahawks and that won’t be easy. It should be a fun Sunday.
