You’ve probably noticed this week that Jeff Lurie and the Eagles have been conducting their business in South Florida.
Doug Pederson flew south for a meeting that ended with his termination. And now Lurie is conducting interviews down there.

If you’re wondering why South Florida, it’s a good time to remind you that Lurie has an incredible winter residence in Palm Beach, Florida, which is probably as good a reason as any.
Lurie, according to the latest Forbes list, has an estimated net worth of $2.7 billion. That kind of wealth can buy you a pretty sweet mansion in South Florida.
According to the Palm Beach Daily News, Lurie’s enormous compound is on a street nicknamed “Billionaires Row,” which makes sense when you read the details of the place.
Here are a few of them from the Palm Beach Daily News:
- Lurie’s lakefront house was purchased in 2013 by his ownership company for $28.75 million. But Lurie got it for a steal after Sotheby’s International Realty had it listed for $38 million and then $34.9 million before the sale.
- As of 2016, Lurie’s house was the seventh highest-priced sale in Palm Beach. (The record as of five years ago was $50 million.)
- Lurie’s house was completed in 2008 and sits on two acres. It has 17,113 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space and eight bedrooms.
- The house has views of the Intracoastal Waterway, which is home to an Audubon bird sanctuary. It faces 185 feet of waterfront and the initial listing of the house boasted water views from every main room of the house.
- In addition to great views, the house also includes several “open-air loggias,” three fireplaces, a dock, fitness room, library and a “wine cellar/grotto.”
- Lurie’s house is just about a quarter mile south of President Donald Trump’s famous Mar-a-Lago.
- Palm Beach is a hot spot for many sports franchise owners. In fact, Patriots owner Robert Kraft has property in Palm Beach and in 2010 was part of a sale of an oceanfront vacant lot for $19.32 million. The buyer? Phillies owner John Middleton, who later built a house on the land.
