Jets activated WR Patrick Turner from their practice squad.
We haven’t had any word on injuries to Jets’ receivers, so Turner may be “up” for special teams help and the No. 5 wideout role. The former third-round bust of the Dolphins has two catches in five career games.
  • FA Wide Receiver #10
Jets WR Jeremy Kerley suffered a left knee injury in Sunday’s game and will be held from Tuesday’s practice
Kerley had an MRI but the results haven’t been made public yet, and his status for Thursday’s game is in doubt. So is the status of backup WR Patrick Turner, who left Sunday’s game due to a kidney injury and is also questionable for Thursday. This leaves just WR Eron Riley to play as the third receiver if those two cannot go, and we fully expect the Jets to kick the tires of some WRs this week.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Jets backup WR Patrick Turner (kidney) said that he thinks he will play in Thursday’s game against the Broncos.
“Should be able to, depending on what the doctors say,” said Turner. “They’ll let me know. They’re just going to keep checking me out to make sure I’m progressing.” Turner had blood in his urine after Sunday’s game and sounds like he has no real idea if he’ll play or not. The Jets could be very thin at WR on Thursday.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Jets WR Patrick Turner was forced from Sunday’s game against the Patriots with a kidney injury, and will not return.
Turner made his first catch of the season in the first half, but was ruled out early in the second. If he’s staring at a multi-week absence, he’ll likely be sent to injured reserve.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Jets signed WR Patrick Turner to a one-year, $875,000 contract.
Turner spent the majority of the 2011 season on the Jets’ practice squad, catching two passes for 26 yards in five games. The former Dolphins third-rounder was scheduled to hit restricted free agency this offseason.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Jets WR Patrick Turner left Sunday’s win over the Bills with a hamstring injury and did not return.
Turner’s absence gave a few more reps to Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley. He’s the No. 5 wideout on the totem pole, slightly ahead of new arrival Clyde Gates.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
    Jets waived WR Patrick Turner.
With Santonio Holmes (foot) out, Turner’s release could be a sign that Stephen Hill (hamstring) will return to game action this week.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
Jets re-signed WR Patrick Turner and waived OT Dennis Landolt and CB Donnie Fletcher.
Turner’s return suggests the Jets already know injured rookie Stephen Hill isn’t going to play next week. Landolt was a healthy scratch for Week 3. Fletcher is eligible to return to the practice squad.
  • FA Wide Receiver #88
    Jets waived WR Patrick Turner.
The Jets will no longer carry their No. 5 wide receiver after he injured his hamstring in the opener.
  • FA Linebacker #94
The Giants worked out free agents OLB Sergio Kindle and WR Patrick Turner on Thursday.
Kindle has appeared in three career NFL games since being the No. 43 overall pick in 2010 out of Texas. Shortly after the draft, Kindle fell down two flights of stairs and fractured his skull, and his career never took off. He was released from the Ravens’ practice squad earlier this month but should be able to latch on with a team this spring.
