Oswaldo Arcia has signed with the Cleburne Railroaders of the independent American Association.
Arcia hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2016 campaign. The 30-year-old outfielder last appeared in the Mexican League back in 2019 and also had a one-year stint with the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball the year prior.

Twins optioned OF Oswaldo Arcia to High-A Fort Myers.
One of the most promising young bats in the Twins’ minor league system, Arcia was added to the 40-man roster in November after 291/.335/.531 with 13 homers, 51 RBI and an .866 OPS between three different levels in the minors last year. He should make his way to Double-A at some point in 2012. The Twins also reassigned Aaron Thompson, Steve Pearce and Danny Ramps to minors league camp.

Twins purchased the contract of OF Oswaldo Arcia from High-A Fort Myers.
He is now protected from next month’s Rule 5 Draft. Arcia, 20, batted .291/.335/.531 with 13 homers, 51 RBI and an .866 OPS over 316 plate appearances this season between three different levels in the lower ranks of the Twins’ farm system. While his plate discipline needs work, he is one of the most promising bats in the organization.

Twins recalled OF Oswaldo Arcia from Double-A New Britain.
Arcia, 21, put together a very nice year between High- and Double-A, hitting .320/.388/.539 with 17 homers and 98 RBI. He’s not big league-ready but is certainly one of the team’s better hitting prospects.

Playing on his 22nd birthday, Oswaldo Arcia had a two-run homer and a triple to lead the Twins offense Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Red Sox.
Arcia went 7-for-13 with four extra-base hits in the series. He’s struck out in 18 of his 64 at-bats since joining the Twins last month, but he’s making a convincing case for sticking around for the long haul.

Twins recalled OF Oswaldo Arcia from Triple-A Rochester.
Arcia batted .255 with a .318 on-base percentage in 107 plate appearances with the Twins earlier this season. The 22-year-old outfielder has some power but seems doubtful to carry value in standard fantasy formats.

Oswaldo Arcia went 3-for-4 with three runs scored against the Phillies on Wednesday.
Arcia was just recalled on June 10 and responded Wednesday with two singles and a double, scoring all three times he was on base. It remains to be seen whether he’ll stay with the club when Aaron Hicks returns from the disabled list, but he should see regular at-bats in the meantime.

Oswaldo Arcia went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored as the Twins beat the Red Sox 15-8 on Wednesday.
Arcia delivered four of the Twins’ 20 hits on Wednesday, raising his batting average to .300 in the process. The outfielder quietly has a six-game hitting streak and seems to have earned a spot in the Twins’ everyday lineup. He’ll go through the usual rookie growing pains, but he’s got intriguing power. There are worse flyers in deep mixed leagues.

Oswaldo Arcia is not in Thursday’s lineup against the Tigers.
This will actually be his fourth straight game on the bench, but the good news is that he’s completely healthy. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said he’s going with Ryan Doumit out of the DH spot Thursday because he’s 4-for-10 lifetime against starter Rick Porcello. Arcia is expected to return to the lineup Friday.

Twins optioned OF Oswaldo Arcia to Triple-A Rochester.
Despite an 0-for-3 effort on Friday, the 22-year-old rookie made a very strong impression during his short time with the Twins. Through his first 30 games, he hit .255/.318/.449 with four homers and 14 RBI. He had struggled to find consistent at-bats in recent days though, and the Twins would likely prefer him playing on a nightly basis at the Triple-A level. Ryan Doumit should see an increase in playing time.
