    Former Northern Iowa junior DB Omar Brown will transfer to Nebraska.
    The 2019 three-star recruit got his freshman year started right as he was named the FCS defensive freshman of the year thanks to 77 tackles and six interceptions. This past season Brown (6’1”/200) had 33 tackles in seven games before suffering a season-ending injury.

    A three-star recruit from the 2019 class, Brown (6'1/200) burst onto the scene right away, winning FCS freshman of the year amassing 77 tackles and six interceptions. As of now, there are no teams that are the front runners for his services, but the Minneapolis native will have a market in the transfer portal. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

    Ravens S Omar Brown has been referred to by teammates as “Baby Ed Reed.”
    The Carroll County Times mentions Brown and fellow backup Christian Thompson as players that “would likely vie” for Reed’s free safety position should Reed move on. Brown gets the comparison based on his ability to “consistently find the football and create turnovers.” Just 5-foot-11, 194, Brown appeared in three games as an undrafted rookie after being promoted from the practice squad.

    Ravens signed S Omar Brown and S Brynden Trawick off their practice squad.
    The Ravens are intent on helping their special teams and had seen enough of Michael Huff. Brown earned the nickname “Baby Ed Reed” during some offseason workouts for his ability to generate turnovers.

    Brown played just two defensive snaps last season in one game of action. He allegedly drew comparisons from Ravens teammates to Ed Reed last offseason.
