Yuna Kim will hold farewell ice shows at Seoul in May in what she called her “retirement event,” according to Yonhap News Agency.
Kim, the 2010 Olympic champion and 2014 silver medalist, will take the ice from May 4-6 in the South Korean capital, according to her agency, All That Sports, the news outlet reported.
They will be “Kim’s last appearances on ice as a figure skater,” it reported, citing All That Sports.
“I’d like to come up with a new gala program, since this will be my retirement event,” Kim, 23, said in a press release. “I’d like to return at least some of the love I’ve received over the years.”
Kim controversially won silver rather than gold in Sochi behind Russian Adelina Sotnikova but has put the issue behind her.
