The Queen of Figure Skating has taken her last bow.
NBCOlympics.com writer Nicholas McCarvel tweets word that Yuna Kim, whose bid to win a second consecutive Olympic gold was narrowly denied today by Russia’s Adelina Sotnikova, has confirmed that she will retire after these Sochi Games at the age of 23.

The Korean superstar will end her stellar career with the 2010 Olympic gold, two world championships, and the distinction of never finishing off the podium in her senior-level international career.

Per the Associated Press, she will perform in one more show in May back home in South Korea but has no other plans.
