American wrestlers J’den Cox and Tervel Dlagnev found much different outcomes in their fights for bronze medals on Saturday in Rio.

Both wrestlers entered the repechage after semifinal losses.

Cox, 21, tangled with Iran’s Alireza Karimimachiani in the 86kg weight class, giving up three pounds to the Iranian.

After a 1-1 first period, Cox scored twice in the second to finish with five tech points in a 5-1 win to seize bronze.

Dlagnev, 30, faced Georgian 22-year-old Geno Petriashvili minutes later, a match that was unfortunately short for the American. Petriashvili rung up a 10-0 win.
