WATCH LIVE: USA takes on Canada in men’s volleyball opener

With the women’s volleyball competition beginning Saturday, the men take the court for the first time Sunday. All 12 teams will be in action including the United States, which takes on Canada in a Group A matchup. With their game scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Two of the three medalists from London are in Group A, with Brazil winning silver and Italy getting the bronze. So getting off to a good start will be important for John Speraw’s team if they’re to medal after being eliminated in the quarterfinal round four years ago.

Among the six teams in Group B are Poland and Russia, with the latter looking to defend its gold medal from four years ago. Russia eliminated Poland in the quarterfinal round four years ago, with Argentina being the other team in Group B that managed to reach the knockout rounds in London.
