After a clean short program, Jason Brown of the U.S. (pictured) has put himself into medal contention in his debut Olympics.
Should he hit the podium, he’ll be the youngest Olympic figure skating medalist since Viktor Peterenko in 1988.

But Brown, currently in sixth and one of several skaters right behind third-place Javier Fernandez of Spain, will have all the pressure on him as he’ll be the last man to skate tonight.
Meanwhile at the top, the two biggest contenders are set to battle it out for gold. Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan earned a 101.45 to break his own world record, but three-time world champion Patrick Chan of Canada is close to him after gaining a 97.52.
