Four years ago, Steven Holcomb drove the U.S. to its first gold in four-man bobsled since 1948.

Today, he’ll begin his title defense as leader of the “Night Train 2" crew in the first two runs of four-man action at the Sochi Olympics.

You can watch those runs on NBCOlympics.com starting at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Holcomb and teammate Steven Langton have already claimed the first U.S. two-man medal since 1952 in these Games, picking up a bronze.

They’ll be joined by Chris Fogt and Curt Tomasevicz, who helped push Holcomb to victory in Vancouver in the original “Night Train” sled - which has now become the USA-2 sled driven by Nick Cunningham.

But Holcomb will have deal to with a strained calf muscle that he sustained in the two-man competition. And the driver that won the Sochi two-man gold, Russia’s Alexander Zubkov, is back to lead his country’s top sled in four-man.

With a sizable amount of home-track knowledge, Zubkov and the Russians could be the Americans’ toughest competition along with the Germans, who had won four consecutive Olympic four-man titles prior to Vancouver.
