Olympic all-around silver medalist Viktoria Komova apologized to U.S. gymnasts for comments on one of Komova’s social media accounts accusing the Americans of taking steroids, according to The Associated Press and USA Today.
Komova’s comments were posted after the U.S. won its third straight World team title Tuesday, with Russia taking fourth after placing second at the 2011 Worlds, 2012 Olympics and 2013 Worlds and third at the 2014 Worlds.
Komova and Madison Kocian were part of an unprecedented four-way tie for gold on uneven bars Saturday.
