London Olympic all-around silver medalist Viktoria Komova is training but unlikely to be ready to compete in the world championships in October, her father said, according to Russian news agency TASS.

Komova, 22, missed the Rio Olympics due to back pain with a question as to whether or not she retired. Komova’s social media as far back as September indicated she had returned to training.

Komova will take this year to focus on recovery for her back, her dad said, according to the report.

Komova, who took all-around silver behind Jordyn Wieber at the 2011 World Championships (by .33 of a point, squandering a lead going into the final rotation) and Gabby Douglas at the 2012 Olympics, has endured health problems since the London Games.

She missed the 2013 and 2014 Worlds and came back in 2015, but did not compete in the 2015 Worlds all-around. Still, Komova shared the World uneven bars title with three other gymnasts.

Komova was named to a preliminary Russian Olympic team for Rio in December 2015 before the injury forced her to stop training. The Russians, led by Aliya Mustafina, earned a second straight Olympic team silver behind the U.S.

Mustafina is pregnant and expected to return to training in the fall.
