Coverage runs from 12-3 p.m. ET. The men start at 12:08, followed by the women at 12:20.
The top three finishers per gender are in line to make the Tokyo Olympic team.
Defending champion Galen Rupp looks to become the first person to win multiple U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials outright.
Rupp, a two-time Olympic medalist, is coming off Achilles and calf injuries that kept him from completing a marathon in 2019. But Rupp just recorded a promising half marathon, consolidating his favorite status.
The other fastest U.S. marathoners in this Olympic cycle include Rio Olympians Jared Ward and Leonard Korir, plus Scott Fauble. Olympic veterans Bernard Lagat, 45, and Abdi Abdirahman, 43, look to break Lagat’s record as the oldest U.S. Olympic runner in history.
The women’s field includes one Olympic marathon veteran -- 2018 Boston Marathon champion Des Linden. Absent are fellow Rio Olympians Shalane Flanagan (retired) and Amy Cragg (withdrew due to illness).
But Linden’s bid to become the first woman to compete in three Olympic marathons for the U.S. is no easy task. The field includes four women with faster personal bests -- Jordan Hasay, Sara Hall, Emily Sisson and Kellyn Taylor -- plus American 10,000m record holder Molly Huddle.
