The U.S. women’s bobsled pairings came out on Saturday and substantially raised Lauryn Williams’ odds of becoming the second person ever to win gold in both of the Summer and Winter Olympics. (Eddie Eagan won boxing gold in 1920 and four-man bobsled gold in 1932.)
Williams is now paired with Elana Meyers, while, Jamie Greubel is with Aja Evans and Jazmine Fenlator is with Lolo Jones, according to the AP’s Tim Reynolds.

Williams won gold as part of the women’s 4x100 relay team in London and is in her rookie bobsled season after retiring from track last year. But she’s clearly adapted well.
“It’s incredible,” U.S. bobsled coach Todd Hays told Reynolds about Williams making the first group. “It tells you what type of athlete she is.”
She might just become a history-making one.
