The best calls from the irreverent Sochi Olympics announcers

Fans that watched the Sochi Olympics on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app got to see every competition live.

Supplying commentary for the live events on those two platforms were announcers from the Olympic broadcast’s “world feed,” and they were able to get in some really good gems.

From one curling announcer dubbing the Norwegian team’s eccentric trousers as something you “certainly wouldn’t wear in a nightclub” to a hockey announcer dryly accosting the Czech Republic’s Jaromir Jagr for a penalty (“‘Is it me?’ Yes, it’s you, Jaromir. How dare you? How very dare you?”), there were some fun calls to be heard.

You can hear those calls and all the other good ones from Sochi in this clip over at NBCOlympics.com.
