Three-time Olympic sprint medalist Sherone Simpson received a retroactive 18-month ban from a Jamaica anti-doping panel Tuesday for her failed drug test from June.

Simpson, a 2008 Olympic 100m silver medalist, tested positive for the banned stimulant oxilofrine at the 2013 Jamaican National Championships. So did former 100m world record holder Asafa Powell, who is expected to learn his fate later this week.

The 29-year-old can return to competition on Dec. 20, according to the report.

Simpson will appeal, according to the Press Association.
“We feel that this ruling is incredibly unjust, and we will be appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport immediately,” her agent, Paul Doyle, said in a statement.
