An out-of-left field article involving a U.S. Olympic middle distance runner and Lindsay Lohan left the Olympian joking while training for the world championships overseas.

Shannon Rowbury, the 2009 world bronze medalist in the 1,500 meters, was reported to be the actress Lohan’s new “mentor” on Thursday.

Rowbury is in St. Moritz, Switzerland, preparing for August’s world championships.

She will run the 5,000 meters in Moscow after making the 2008 and 2012 Olympic final in the 5,000.

The report said Rowbury’s role is mentoring Lohan, who just came out of a rehab stint, for “achieving a healthier lifestyle.” It also dubbed Rowbury the “Natalie Portman of track and field,” for what it’s worth.

Lohan asked Rowbury for running advice at a Niketown store in Beverly Hills, Calif. They’ve been emailing since, according to the report.
