‘Race’ director narrates scene of Jesse Owens walking into Berlin Olympic Stadium (video)

“Race,” a film about Jesse Owens and his four-gold-medal performance at the Berlin 1936 Olympics, will be released in theaters on Friday.

A few film clips have been published by Focus Features, and the below clip from The New York Times includes a voiceover by director Stephen Hopkins.

In the scene, Owens, played by Stephan James, walks into the Berlin 1936 Olympic Stadium.

James discussed playing the Olympic legend Owens in this Q&A.
