Brothers Pau and Marc Gasol are on Spain’s list of 24 possible players for its 12-man Olympic team, after Pau’s concerns about the Zika virus and Marc’s broken foot surgery Feb. 23.

“Marc is trying to recover, trying to see if he can arrive in time,” Spain coach Sergio Scariolo said earlier this week, according to FIBA. “Today, it’s too early to tell.”

Every Spanish NBA star is on the list, including 2012 Olympic silver medalists Serge Ibaka, Ricky Rubio and Jose Calderon, in addition to the Gasol brothers and potential first-time Olympian Nikola Mirotic of the Chicago Bulls.

Only one of Ibaka and Mirotic can compete in Rio due to the naturalized-player rule.
