NBCUniversal will break the Olympic programming record with 6,755 total hours of coverage from Rio, including comprehensive live streaming of every Olympic sport on the NBC Sports app and NBCOlympics.com for a third straight Games.
It will be the most live Olympics ever from Rio, which is one hour ahead of Eastern time.
The 6,755 hours beats the 5,535 hours from the 2012 London Games.
Of those hours, 260.5 will be on NBC. On most days, primetime broadcasts will be 8 p.m.-midnight ET/PT, daytime from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ET/PT, late night from 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET/PT and replays from 1:35-4:30 a.m. ET/PT.
NBCSN’s coverage begins with the first day of competition with women’s soccer on Wednesday, two days before the Opening Ceremony. On most days, NBCSN coverage will run from 8 a.m.-midnight ET.
Golf Channel, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, USA Network, Telemundo and NBC Universo will also air coverage, plus specialty channels for basketball and soccer.
