When you put together the kind of run that eventually grabs an Olympic host country’s first medal, you’re probably going to be excited. That’s what happened for Russia’s Olga Graf, as she unzipped her speed skating suit in the heat of the moment following a bronze medal run before realizing what she did.

“I totally forgot,” Graf told the Associated Press through a translator. “We have very good suits and they are very tight. ... You just want to breathe and you want to take off your suit.”
Graf, 30, said she didn’t think about the YouTube-type implications until after it happened, but doesn’t “think it will be so bad.”
Really, in the grand scheme of things, it probably isn’t. She won a surprise bronze in front of an adoring crowd and had a very human moment. Plenty of Olympians would gladly embrace such a situation.
