Michael Phelps will be a father come the Rio 2016 Olympics as his fiancée is 12 weeks pregnant with what “looks like a boy,” according to his social media.
Michael Phelps and former Miss California Nicole Johnson got engaged in late February after an on-and-off relationship that started before the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
The rolling-in-the-snow proposal occurred on a drive home from Johnson’s grandmother funeral in Colorado, according to Sports Illustrated:
Near the end of the 45-mile drive back to the Olympic Training Center, John Legend’s “All of Me” came on. It’s their song. Phelps pulled over, proposed to Johnson, gave her the ring they had picked out and tackled her into the spring snow. They will be married after the Olympics.
