Michael Phelps’ two-week-old baby boy, Boomer, made an appearance on Phelps’ latest Facebook live video on Sunday.
Phelps, who said he changed his first diaper Sunday, was en route from his Arizona base to Colorado Springs, where he will conduct more altitude training ahead of his last pre-Olympic Trials meet in Austin, Texas, from June 3-5.
Phelps said he had lost 10 pounds over about three weeks but is trying to maintain his weight, partially by cramming Reese’s Big Cups.
He said training partner and Olympic champion Allison Schmitt recently bought eight bags of the candy at his request, and they were gone in about five days.
Phelps will try to become the first U.S. male swimmer to make five Olympic teams at the U.S. Olympic Trials from June 26-July 3 in Omaha (broadcast schedule here).
