Lolo Jones has scratched out of the Olympic Trials 100m hurdles, which were due to start July 7 in Eugene, Ore., which means she will not compete in a third straight overall Olympics.
She last competed Feb. 14, according to Tilasatopaja.org, and pulled out on the day of a June 4 meet due to an unspecified injury.
She said then she was “running out of time” and in “a dire situation.”
Jones, who turns 34 on the day of the Rio Opening Ceremony, is one of 10 Americans to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.
She led the 2008 Olympic 100m hurdles final until hitting the penultimate hurdle and finishing seventh. She was fourth in the 2012 Olympic 100m hurdles.
Jones then picked up bobsled and was 11th at the Sochi Winter Olympics.
Jones said in January that she plans to return to bobsled in the 2016-17 season, which begins three months after the Rio Games, with an eye on the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games.
