Lolo Jones asked about night club incident at ESPYs

Lolo Jones

Lolo Jones gave an interesting (but not informing) two-word response when asked about her involvement in an incident at a Lake Placid, N.Y., night club last week.

“Gotta run,” she told USA Today at the ESPYs in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Jones was cleared of wrongdoing by the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation and is not expected to be punished for the incident. It involved the stepdaughter of a U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation Hall of Famer, who manages an Olympic sports complex in Lake Placid.

The two-time Olympic hurdler is expected to head to Calgary for the U.S. push championships beginning July 28. She cut short her track and field season earlier this month to focus on bobsled with an eye on making the Sochi Olympic team.

One question Jones gave a longer response to was whether she considers herself more of a summer or winter athlete.

“My heart is in track and field, but I never expected bobsled to come in and I’d just become so passionate about it so fast,” she told USA Today. “Dual-sport athlete. Completely. Bo Jackson.”
